Kopi Kitchen

While waiting for Silver linings playbook, we had quite some time to kill but not in the mood to wonder around the mall, so when we passed by this clean sleek all white looking diners, we decided to rest our lazy feet while ordering some drinks.

T.G.I Friday's

Back then when I was still in college, TGI Friday's was one of the place my friends and I went to very very often. It was one of my favorite diners, I love their food, the red and white stripes concept, even all the cute colorful pins the waiters put in their suspenders. When it was closed together with the rest of the other restaurants at Taman Ria Senayan, I was seriously bumped.
It's not really about the food. I can always look for other place who serves good steak, what I was sad about is more on how I lost one of my comfort place to dine.

[CLOSED] Societea

When the number of bubble tea shops at Pantai Indah Kapuk reached a dozen, I actually thought it would be the last one. I was wrong. A local bubble tea shop, Societea opened around few weeks ago with one of the prettiest design concept among the bubble tea shops lining up at PIK.

Gomawo Korean Grill & Restaurant

Another new diner recently opened at Pantai Indah Kapuk and I was quite excited waiting it to open for public since the day I saw the signage "Korean grill & restaurant". Why? well, two things mainly. First, Hubs & I love Korean food, and most of the times we were too lazy to drive to South where most of the Korean diners located. Second, I am pretty sick of the one common thing easily spot on bunch of the new eateries at PIK, diners with "cafe" type of food where the owners seem to care more on the design concept than the food itself. Sounds familiar?

Marugame Udon

Couple weeks ago, Jakarta's weather was unpredictable. A sudden change from hot & sunny to heavy rain happened pretty often. I remember that day I was on my way for a solo late lunch while suddenly it rains heavily and I was thinking it would be good to have a hot soupy kind of lunch, so I went to Marugame Udon, a recently opened Japanese restaurant with specialty in udon and tempura. Coming from Japan, they open their first outlet at Mall Taman Anggrek.
