Publico is a newly opened bistro located at Senopati street. An impromptu lunch date with my bestie last Sunday took me to this Western cuisine type bistro which happen to be under the same group of Pan & Barrel. The place was a big white house turned into a classy looking diner. The first floor, only meant for reception with two stories above meant for diners with smoking and non smoking section separated by floors.

Rustique grill & wine
A belated birthday dinner...
Several weeks ago was my birthday. Instead of dressing up and planning on where to have my birthday treat, I spent the whole day doing photo shoot for Lemon and editing until late midnight. You know how there was a saying that age is just a number?
Well, I am always someone who believes that age
doesn't define your character nor personality. But, somehow as I grow older,
especially after I got married... My mindset changed, priority changed, I
changed... Somehow, birthday no longer serves as something die die
also must be celebrated kind of day. So on the day, I was pretty much satisfied with the birthday noodle cooked by hubby and the vanilla fruit cake. :)

A Homey home cooked from Mom's Gourmet
Mom's gourmet is a home based catering business focusing on bringing a healthier yet delicious food. The owner, a team of husband and wife, believe that something yumm doesn't always need a pinch of MSG for flavor boost. I, who happen to never use MSG on any of my home cook, was intrigued as I read the story behind their family business and happily saying yes when the super friendly owner offering to send me a package of their day menu.
Hakata Ikkousha PIK
The only ramen succeeded in making me return again, and again, and again...
When I found out Ikkousha is going to open at PIK, I was thrilled because it was so hard to find a parking spot in their Muara Karang's branch. One night, hubby and I went to check out the new shop. Occupied four ruko at the food district of PIK, Ikkousha shared the place along with Nabedouraku, Yu Yan Tang reflexology, CapiTEA, and a bread corner which I can't remember what the brand is. The first thing caught my attention when we walked in that night was how large the waiting list area is. Line of chairs were put outside the restaurant, and yet another quite large space was save inside for wait list area.

CNY dinner at Maystar
So, how's everyone CNY dinner? Mine was pretty great. =)
After having several not so satisfying CNY dinners the past few years, initially my family and I plan to have a personal home cook dishes this year, since we have 2 great chefs in the house, my mom and my hubby. Yes, hubby can definitely cook better than me. Kitchen has never been my best friend. *LOL*
But then, around 3 weeks before CNY, mom's house helper quit and the three musketeers, my dad, big bro and I who terrified as hell to wash any dishes, forbid mom and hubs to cook. So, I made an impromptu reservation at Maystar Emporium. We thought it would be a perfect fit since it was located in a close distance and happen to be one of our regular place to go for Chinese meals.
