I almost never post a review just one day after my visit, but this one is just worth the exception. One of the reason I was willing to drive almost 2 hours on a drizzling rainy and heavy jam yesterday was because my beyond curiosity of this recently opened patisserie. Le Cafe Gourmand might be the new kid on the block at Gunawarman street, but they are definitely not a newbie in the business. Established on 2012 in Surabaya, this French patisserie is utterly popular in their home town.

Astons Specialities Jakarta
Astons Specialities comes from a simple dream of it's owner who wish to bring western cuisines at affordable prices. With the first outlet only took place in a coffeeshop along East Coast Road, Astons Specialities has now expanding to more than 20 outlets in Singapore.
Ask Aston for his recipe to success and the answer is surprisingly
down-to-earth: " For me, it's about providing quality and
value-for-money food, service that makes you feel like you're with
friends, and an experience that you'll remember for life." quoted from their website.

Kedai Ribs by Nasi Campur Putri Kenanga
They were considerably numbers of new restaurants open at Baywalk Mall and one of them was this ribs specialty by the famous Nasi Campur Putri Kenanga. Just like most of other restaurants at Baywalk, they too have outdoor dining area to enjoy the sea view, though it was dark at night and practically nothing to see.

[CLOSED] Sesto Senso Jakarta by Hide Yamamoto
First established on 2010 in Tokyo, Sesto Senso is a casual Italian restaurant under the great Chef Hide Yamamoto. Their Jakarta's branch located at Lotte Avenue next to Japanese bakery and pastry shop, Flour Flour, which is also under the same company. The restaurant looks minimalist modern. They used yellow lighting but with the glass windows circling all over the restaurant, the ambiance was quite bright.

The ORI Smoke Barbeque Bistro
My visit to Lotte Shopping Avenue can be counted by fingers of one hand. Even though the mall has lots of new dining options, but the traffic to go there often made me think twice, sometimes thrice. I remember it was either a Sunday or a public holiday when we went to Lotte with a clear purpose, the ORI.

Talaga Sampireun Ancol
I love staying at Jakarta. For me, the city has almost everything I need but sometimes I do miss a change of scenery. As much as I love the metropolitan life, there are times when I wanted to be away from the city. Most of the times, I like to go to Bandung as even though the city has almost as traffic as here, well the traffic there mostly caused by Jakarta's people. LOL. Anyway, as I said, I love driving to Bandung for a short getaway as they have many diners with great greenery views. Some views to relax your mind for a while, and by you, I mean me.
