From Sinou Kaffee Hausen, we went straight to Convivium which can be reached within walking distance. I have been curious about the place which often identified as one of the place that served the best cakes. That day, the place was super crowded and super noisy. Lucky for us there was an empty table fits five of us.
Interior was homey, light wood panel to accommodate cute ornaments as display, open kitchen in the side with bright lighting. Even it was crowded, but the staffs were quite attentive. They served wide selections of homemade Italian cooking, but as we were full from our previous lunch, we only ordered Tiramisu (30k), Carrot cake (38k), Red velvet cake (38k) and Rainbow cake (28k). The tiramisu came in awful unstructured cuts, one of my friends who wasn't at the table when it was served even thought that we have had a bite on it. However, it was delicious, super moist with balance level of sweetness. The carrot cake was decent, not too sweet with layer of cream cheese. Their red velvet came with cream cheese and mascarpone, garnished with coconut flakes as the topping, i like it how the cheese was not too smelly but overall it was not really suited my taste. The rainbow cake with lemon butter cream was a disappointment, it was rough and dry.
Overall the cakes at Convivium didn't really meet our expectations, but the Tiramisu was good though. Besides that, all I can say is one so great about the afternoon was only the fun and laughter with my ex colleagues.
