How can you not love Union?

Even with so many new restaurants nowadays, Union still remain to be one of the busiest diner, proven from until this very day, it still need quite an effort to get a table even with reservation first. After our brunch at Monolog, we were wandering around for a while and I told hubby about Union's delicious red velvet, and he was tempted. Seeing it was Sunday, I was not sure that we can get a table as a walk in customer, but I thought, we could just took away a slice if no table was available. Out of the blue, it turns out there was a table available for us to be used for 1,5 hours. Yes, as I said before, even with so many new diners in town lately, Union still going strong.

Sunday Brunch at Monolog

One of my favorite meal of the day is breakfast. Brunch to be exact as I am not a morning person, and even if I wake up early, I hardly can eat in such early hour. Fortunately, plenty cafes in Jakarta serve brunch in reasonable hour for sleepyhead like me. Some even offer an all day breakfast, though personally I never like to have breakfast kind of meal in hours after 12 afternoon.

GeorgPeck Indonesia

It's been a while since I wrote a full post on bubble tea. Normally, I will only include the new one I tried into the bubble tea list, but I feel like this one need a self coverage in Ivy's life.Yes, it is that good.

The first time I heard and knew about GeorgPeck was from some friends' IG photos. They were all raving on Georgpeck's Fresh tomato with honey iced blended. My curiosity was raised although not so much as it used to be when it comes to new bubble tea, as most of those new bubble teas came to disappointment to me. Lack of flavor, nothing worth to drink twice.

Tokyo Ramen Tabushi

The words I heard about Tokyo Ramen Tabushi practically succeed in dragging our lazy ass to Kelapa Gading. It located in the main boulevard street across Mall Kelapa Gading. The place was much more humbler than what I had in mind before visiting. The ruko is quite narrow with only few tables inside. It was on Saturday night when we visited the place, yet it was only two tables filled including ours.

Spoiled with various choices of bubble tea at PIK

On the early stage of bubble tea's popularity months ago, with only few brands around, Cha Time, Come Buy, Boba Inc... Queuing line were seen in almost every stalls. Nowadays, line of queue almost never seen, but it doesn't mean that they have lost their popularity. Even worse, I feel like Jakarta were attacked with bubble tea virus, so many that I simply forced to write a separate bubble tea post beside the one I posted quite some time ago. Click here.

Spending the first day of 2013 at Caprese

For the past 20 months of Ivy's life, I have always always do my best to post a new entry in every 1st day of each month. Yet, in the 1st day of the 1st month... on this new year, I failed, and even worse, it took me 10 days after to finally write again. Initially, my excuses for the late post was because I have been very busy, but as I read the writing advice from some writers on the newest issue of Go Girl! magz couple days ago, one of the advice mentioned was, 'the most important thing in having a blog or to be a so called writers is not about the smart writing talent, it's about being consistent". That piece of line brought me to what my former boss shared a few years ago, "There is no such thing as being too busy. It's either lazy or being lack of commitment". I don't really know if the sentences above applied well in every situation, but it did get me to start writing... and realizing as I typed... How I miss this so. :)
