Tonkichi Tonkatsu @Ngee An City Singapore

When you browse "the best Tonkatsu in Singapore", the name Tonkichi and Ma Maison would be two often mentioned. The reason why we went for Tonkichi instead was because we were at Wisma Atria when we were discussing on what to have for dinner, and Tonkichi's location was nearer. As simple as that, a big satisfaction after.

I was aiming for the one said as their best seller, Kurobuta Kata Rosu Set but it was sold out, so we went with:

Ume Maki Katsu ($26.9), deep fried sliced pork loin rolled with ume (Japanese plum) sauce.

Iberico Rosu Katsu Set ($30), Deep fried Iberico pork loin (black pork), served with chawan musi, appetizer, rice and miso soup.

Everything was delicious. Personally, I didn't really like the Ume maki katsu although it was my friend's favorite. On the other hand, I love the Iberico rosu katsu. Deep fried, crisp but not oily. If you think Katsusei is good, you would definitely like this one too! Plus the lettuce and rice are refillable, not to mention the free iced water and watermelon for desserts.
