Okay, the F&B scene in Jakarta sometimes feels like F1 racing. One opens something trending, another one follow in a week and so and so on. We had passed by the yogurt phase, bubble tea phase, Taiwanese dessert phase, now enter soft serve ice cream phase. The last couple months, I am seeing soft serve ice cream everywhere. And I mean, everywhere! Instagram, pop up bazaar, and most of the newbies at Pantai Indah Kapuk, just like the newest one...
WooYoo dessert house is the new kid on the block specialized in nothing else but soft serve ice cream. It sounded too typical but Wooyoo is different. The Korean owner shared they made the ice cream with ingredients all imported from the Kpop town. Another thing, the ice cream is purely 100% grass-fed cow's milk.
The exterior is creative with bee hive design, but as we stepped inside, I noticed the interior is much simpler. They keep it minimalist which is okay, but a bit too contrary seeing the unique exterior. My favorite part of the room would be the front one with the high ceiling and glass walls. I always love the idea of glasshouse look a like.
Their pure milk soft ice cream range between 25k - 38k. We can choose to have it on cup, cone or snail bread with various toppings like honey chips, salty choco, cotton candy and few more.
Salty Choco (Pure milk ice cream in cone with salted chocolate sauce) 35k
Gold Digger (Pure milk ice cream with caramel sauce and almond crush) 35k
Honey chips (Pure milk ice cream with honey chips) 38k
Nevertheless, I still feel they need to come up with more variant of ice creams or other dessert creations to survive in today's F&B world.
