PAUL French Bakery & Patisserie Jakarta
People who stay in Jakarta must have been very good this year, seeing how Santa comes earlier bringing an excellent Christmas present, the first outlet of Paul Patisserie. I have been waiting for Paul to open ever since I saw the signage months ago. I even called twice to Pacific Place's information to ask if the place has open yet.

Pannacotta etc
After going strong by selling online these couple years, Pannacotta etc finally opens their first store at Pacific Place. I visited the place after a dinner at Hard Rock last week. Positioned in the corner of 4th floor across Aksara bookstore, the place is not big but good enough to fit 5-6 tables. I loved the minimalist homey design and the creative words on the packaging. With the packaging so carefully designed, they must have known how today is not only about the flavor, packaging too, is everything.

Hard Rock Cafe
The iconic guitar is back! And it's better than before!
I love their new location at Pacific Place. It's located in the side lobby with outdoor seating facing the main street of SCBD. Super nice to sit there when the weather is friendly. More or less, the inside is not so different with the former one, replica of merchandise and quotes from musician around the world.

Kyochon
Last Sunday night, Hubs and I went to one of our friends' wedding at Pacific Place. After the party, we strolled around and I passed by Kyochon, one of the largest Korean fried chicken restaurant chain who has more than 950 outlets in South Korea itself and has expanded to US and other countries in Asia, to name few, China, Thailand, Philippine and now Indonesia. Since I seldom go to this shopping mall, I insisted on trying Kyochon that night, ignoring the fact that we were both pretty full.

Liberte French Brasserie
Our next foodventure of the day went to Liberte, a French patisserie
inside Gallery Lafayette Pacific Place. I wasn't put much expectations
on the place, to be honest. We were just happened to be at Pacific Place
having an innocent window shopping when we passed by Liberte and
decided to give it a try.

Bibigo
Ever since my friend took me to a lunch at Bibigo, Nex Serangoon a while ago, I have been hooked. Their pajeon (Korean seafood pancake) was so good that it had me drooling every time I think of it. When I heard Bibigo is opening soon in Jakarta, I was more than ecstatic. Bibigo is one of the largest food chain in Korea with franchise in several countries including London, Los Angeles, Tokyo, Beijing, Seoul and now, Indonesia.

Odysseia
Odysseia is one of the newest addition in town located in the lobby of Pacific Place, right in the front of Galleries Lafayette. The intimate space was designed like the gardens at Versailles, a very pretty outdoor garden concept where as we walked further in, a different concept spotted on the lounge area, more modern ambiance with dimmed lights.

Go! Curry
I never was a fan of Japanese curry and after my experience with Mr.Curry, I was getting more certain that I don't like Japanese curry. That's why I never bother to try Go!Curry since it's opening which was quite some time ago. Until several weeks ago, hubby and I went to Pacific Place for Dark Knight Rises movie date, and I was very much craving for Naan bread and Go!Curry is the closest one to go.
Turns out, they have several kinds of curry to choose, from Japanese to the one closest to Indian type of curry, my favorite kind. It was quite unique that we can choose what and how we want our curry in four simple steps:
- Step 1: Choose your curry. Brown curry, green curry, red curry, yellow curry, rogan josh curry.
- Step 2: Choose your spiciness. Mild, medium, hot, very hot, insanely hot.
- Step 3: Choose your rice. Long grain rice, cilantro butter rice, aromatic yellow rice.
- Step 4: Choose your topping. Tandoor chicken tikka, zesty cheese chicken, lamb cubes with herbs, breaded fish, mixed vegetables, chicken katsu, Australian oxtail, breaded prawns, NZ mussels.

Canteen
Canteen had been one of my favorite place to dine. Nowadays, most of the new dining places were only strong in the great design concept but lack of good menu. As someone who adores food, I love to try up on new restaurants, but rarely back for the second time, as I said most of them give more thought on the design rather the food. In my humble opinion, Canteen is not one of those places. It's one of the place that I had been keep on coming for regular dine. To me, their food and service had never let me down. Although don't come here when you are super hungry as you could fainted before your meal come. One of the thing I don't like about Canteen is the food serving took forever.
Anyway, I always went to the one in Plaza Indonesia. One night, my husband and I went to their Pacific Place branch. We sat in the front as inside was meant for smoking only. On our way, I knew that I wanted to have their Risotto with duck and mushroom, but when I looked at the menu, it was not in it and the menu book was also not the same like the one at PI. I asked the waiter and turns out some of their menus were different for each branch, and the one I was craving about only available in Canteen PI. The risotto they have was Mushroom Risotto (60k), so my husband ordered it and I chose Australian Sirloin 200gr with baby potatoes (110k). We skipped the appetizer and dessert as we wanted to try the Homemade Lasagna (60k).
Mushroom Risotto - I don't really like the risotto, it was seasoned well but it was watery and quite mushy. Very different with the one in PI.
Australian Sirloin - The meat was not that juicy but it was still grilled well and I loved the crunchiness of the baby potatoes.
Homemade Lasagna - I didn't taste the lasagna from the top as it had cheddar all over it, but the minced beef and the sauce was delicious and generous. The pasta layers were not too thick so it was good.
Overall as I said, Canteen had never failed me but somehow I feel I had better meals in their Plaza Indonesia's branch.

Crystal Jade Teo Chew Palace
On the day I was going for shopping trip for Lemon's new collections, I still have the entire morning and afternoon since my flight was late noon, so me and my family went for a quick lunch at Crystal Jade.
From outside the place looked quiet and small, but when we entered the restaurant, it was quite big and very crowded, the interior was designed black and red with Chinese luxury modern concept. Almost all tables were full. We were ushered to a table next to window and began to order. We chose Crystal jade roasted duck - Half (108k), Baked frog w/ ginger, scallion and chili padi (68k), Sauted prawn with salad sauce (108k), Braised egg plant with minced meat and beancurd in casserole (55k), Braised seafood and beancurd in sichuan style (108k) and jelly fish (48k) for the appetizer.

Overall the meals were delicious. The duck skin was crisp and the meat was tender, the prawn mayonnaise came in small portions, only around 6pcs but the prawns were crispy and big, the mayo dressing were also very nice, not sour and not too milky taste. It was a pleasant dine although personally I think the price was too expensive.
