Singapore has always been one of our favorite for short trip. No matter how many times we've been there, personally Hubs and I never bored with the city. Our trip to Spore mostly unplanned so I always have these list of restaurant or cafe to try saved in my mobile. :) Just like our last trip to the city last month, super impromptu and super short. So, instead of reviewing the places we tried one by one, I make it in one post as we didn't try much in each restaurants. Well, happy reading then!

We had a scrumptious brunch at Strangers' Reunion. Their Medley of sausages ($23.90) might not be cheap but earns all the dollars spent. It comes with two kinds of sausages, chicken and pork which both tasted really good. And we love that slice of toast hidden in the bottom of a sunny side up with runny egg yolk. Mostly known for their popular waffles, we tried their Buttermilk waffles with strawberry maceration and vanilla bean ice cream ($13.90) and fully contented. The waffles would be one of the best we've had. We loved the texture and how crisp it was.

All happiness depends on a leisurely breakfast - John Gunther
The foodie quote welcomes us into this quirky cafe at Bugis area. We loved what they did with the whole interior. The design is out of the box and we love how quirky it is.
Just like the quote, they serve the hell of leisurely breakfast. Our Fungi & Eggs ($24) is perfect for mushroom and eggs lover. The portion is more than enough to share for two. The eggs were cooked perfectly, medium done that we can felt the runny and moist eggs. The salmon was nicely seared and we loved how the mushrooms were seasoned well.

Windowsill in the woods or also known as Windowsill Pies is arguably one
of the most popular cake shop in Singapore at the moment. The shop has
cute designs with the teddy bear and wooden tree placed at the center of
the room. When we entered the shop, we were welcome with a warm
greetings and a wide selections of mouthwatering pies behind the
counter. The service is to order and paid in the counter first before
seated. We chose their S'mores pie ($8) and Grasshopper pie ($7.5). Both tasted so goood! We love how smooth the chocolate mousse and the marshmallow on the s'mores pie. As for the grasshopper pie, super like the minty feeling from it and the cookie crumble on top. This place is definitely recommended for sweet tooth!

This Australian gourmet food store not only provides gourmet food products, but also serving a hearty breakfast, lunch, dinner. The Salt & Pepper squid with Thai basil salad ($15) might not be the most photogenic picture, but the taste is very recommended. The squid was cooked properly, not too crunchy but wasn't flabby, we love the chewy texture that goes along well with the Thai basil salad. Overall it combines the salt & pepper taste from the squid and the sour hint from Thai basil. It was a great example of protein combination.
SHIRAZ MAZZEH KEBAB
Address: Food stall in front of Ngee Ann City (Takashimaya) Orchard
Opening hours: 11am - 11pm
We have been a regular to this kebab stall since they only had one stall until now evolving to 4 branches in the city. We still always go to their first stall in front of Takashimaya Orchard. We simply love their kebab. Comes in options of chicken, beef or lamb, with all you can choose of vegetables addition. The kebab is rich in flavors with fresh veggie and succulent meat. Try it and you'll get hooked.
LIANG SEAH STREET @BUGIS
One of our favorite place to go in the city is the Liang Seah street at Bugis Area. It is located just accross Bugis Junction and houses of shabu shabu and desserts shops.
