Naughty Nuri's

Naughty Nuri's just opened their second Jakarta's outlet at Pantai Indah Kapuk. As we didn't get the chance to try when we were in Bali, last night my husband and I dine there. Pantai Indah Kapuk now is in the process of becoming one of the culinary heaven. We spotted many new restaurants along and opposite the seniors like Tekko and Leko. It was around 9pm something when we got there so the place were not that crowded but also quite occupied. 

The place was designed moderate, nothing fancy, but I saw many beer bottles and cute piggy statues displayed. We sat in and started to order. My husband chose their signatures, Spare ribs (95k) and I opted for Pork steak (80k). The steak and ribs weren't came with dishes so we order a portion of French fries (15k) and Satay (25k). The waiter told me that my pork steak will took around 30 minutes to be served as they made it fresh cut. 

French fries came first. Unlike the usual frozen fries, Nuri's used original fresh potatoes, i loved it. The spare ribs was quite large, I took a bite of my husband's plate. The meat was tender, but I didn't really like how they marinated it. It was too sweet for my taste, i'm not sure whether they were using too many sweet ketchup or that was just their signature sauce. My pork steak and satay were also marinated in the same way, too sweet for our taste. We didn't likey! 

The waiters were actually polite, but one of them took our fries away when they were still some pieces left in the plate. I hate it when they did that. Overall, I wasn't sure why Naughty Nuri's ribs is so famous. Maybe it just didn't suited our taste. To me personally, only the fries were acceptable.

After a full breakfast with my mom's vegetable rice with meat, I went upstairs and start my first step for Lemon's Closet 3, taking all the clothes out and start measuring, mix and match the clothes for photo shoots, get them ironed, etc.

This cocktail dress was one of my favorite findings for Closet 3. I love it so much that I keep one for my self and sneak 1 picture during the photo shoots catalog for my personal collections. =) It will came in 2 colors in tomorrow's Closet 3 launching. =)

The day we went back to Jakarta from my buying trip, my brother fetched us at the airport and since it was very late already, my husband and I decided to just sleep over at my parent's house. When we reached there, my mom was not sleep yet even it was around 1am in the morning already. My mom always like that, can't sleep until she is certain that her children reached home safely.

The next day when I woke up, my parents went out already. I walked in to the kitchen and this conversation happened between my mom's house maid named Yuni and I (of course in Bahasa, I just translate it to English):

Y: Non, your favorite vegetable rice with meat is in the refrigerator. 

I: When did mom cooked? 

Y: Two days after you went abroad.

I: Heh? that was like 4 days ago, still can eat or not? 

Y: When Ibu cooked at that time, I also felt weird why need to keep 1 plate for you, as you will only be back in another 4 days. But then Ibu said no matter where u are, at Jakarta or not, every time she cook something that she knows is your favorite, she will always spare you a portion. 

I was speechless the moment I heard Yuni shared what my mom said. I was very touched and my tears fell down (i even cry now while writing). I asked Yuni to heated the rice and I quickly ate it in silence, enjoyed it until the last spoon.

I am not a mom yet, but I really do hope when I become one, I will be just like my mom. Nothing less, nothing more. Just like her is perfect already.

Preview Lemon Online Shop's CLOSET 3

I'm back from my buying trip. Taken home with me, hundreds of great stuffs for Lemon's and some extra kgs gained for my weight.

My second buying trip was two times more fun than the first time. My first buying trip, I was too stressed up as it was the first time, the anxiety of not getting the collections that suited Lemon, the paranoid thoughts about unnecessary things. This time, I was more relax and just let it flow. I get to squeezed in 3 movies date during my trip. =) 

I've been juggling with photo shoots for Lemon's CLOSET 3 and office works ever since I came back from buying trip. Doing two important things at the same time where both came with deadline surely wasn't easy, but doing them with passion was helping.

Anyway, here's the preview of Lemon's CLOSET 3. Hope you will love it as much as I do. =)

Crystal Jade Teo Chew Palace

On the day I was going for shopping trip for Lemon's new collections, I still have the entire morning and afternoon since my flight was late noon, so me and my family went for a quick lunch at Crystal Jade. 

From outside the place looked quiet and small, but when we entered the restaurant, it was quite big and very crowded, the interior was designed black and red with Chinese luxury modern concept. Almost all tables were full. We were ushered to a table next to window and began to order. We chose Crystal jade roasted duck - Half (108k), Baked frog w/ ginger, scallion and chili padi (68k), Sauted prawn with salad sauce (108k), Braised egg plant with minced meat and beancurd in casserole (55k), Braised seafood and beancurd in sichuan style (108k) and jelly fish (48k) for the appetizer.

Overall the meals were delicious. The duck skin was crisp and the meat was tender, the prawn mayonnaise came in small portions, only around 6pcs but the prawns were crispy and big, the mayo dressing were also very nice, not sour and not too milky taste. It was a pleasant dine although personally I think the price was too expensive.
