Grand Swiss Belhotel is one of the chosen hotel for tourist. The international 5 stars business hotel is adjacent to Cambridge Shopping Mall, making their guests conveniently easy to do some shopping or looking for places to eat. Aside from that, the hotel itself located in a walking distance to Sun Plaza, one of Medan's largest shopping mall and only five minutes drive to the famous Bolu Meranti.
We booked their Superior deluxe room and was quite satisfied with the sleek and modern design. The room size between 33 - 38m2, spacious enough for our stay. Bathroom comes with separate shower and bath tub. And what most important for me personally is they provide free wi-fi.
Hubs and I both are sleepy head. We love beds and belonged to category of people who willing to spend more amount on good mattress and pillows. On how you wake up feeling energized is depend on your sleep's quality, and we believe one of the important key for a quality sleep is on the mattress and pillows.
The bed is okay, large and pretty comfy, but I am not fond of the pillows. Their pillows are just not up to standard. It's not fluffy enough and not one of those goose feathers kinds. Never underestimate how important a good mattress and pillow could do for your own sleeping benefit. :)
The outdoor swimming pool located on the 7th floor is not big, but good enough for a morning swim before starts with your activities. On the same floor, they also have fitness centre for those who cannot skip gym even for a day. Their spa is consider affordable with only 200k for 60 minutes traditional massage.
Overall, we had a pleasant stay at the hotel. Service is good, check in and check out was prompt. I wouldn't hesitate to book another stay the next time I visit Medan.
