BELLYCIOUS MUARA KARANG - PLUIT JAKARTA

It's an exciting news how Muara Karang and Pluit area has evolving with many coffee shops and new cafes where it used to be more like humble family restaurants in the neighborhood. One newly opened cafe caught my attention from their exterior alone, positioned few shops away from Ottoman's Coffee.

PAPAJO ST. MORITZ JAKARTA

Puri area has always been a place I rarely visit as I never think there's any attractive things drawing me there, but ever since new restaurants have been opening inside the new shopping mall, St. Moritz, I begin to see some reasons to go here, especially since the premiere XXI (in my opinion) is one with the best seats after Plaza Senayan's and Baywalk Pluit's.

I know I haven't been writing much but it still shocks me to learn that my last post was more than two weeks ago. Things are just crazy at the moment. My hands and brain are both tight up that writing just seems to be least on my mind now. 

MS. CHOO SENOPATI JAKARTA

As we're saying our bye to Publico, say hi to Ms. Choo, the hottest woman at Senopati right now. I'm not 100% sure that Publico will be closed for good or relocated, but at the moment, Ms. Choo has taking over it place.

BELLY INC Pantai Indah Kapuk Jakarta

Belly Inc is another new addition at Pantai Indah Kapuk, yes, new one, like again. Before you think it's too many already, save it, just beside them, Nam Nam, another new one will be opening soon. If you regularly visit Spore, you would know this Vietnamese restaurant. 

Sardine Bali

I have heard plenty good things about Sardine. Their excellent rice field views, the delicate food taste and the fine dining service within affordable price range. This trip I decided a visit to Sardine is on my must list. 

BABA's at Huu Bar Bali

I started my December with a short Bali getaway with my bestie. A little story behind this Bali trip, my bestie had been on my nerve (in a good way) for quite a while about going on a trip just us two. She had been wanting to go to Korea, Seoul particularly, the city was actually our her first destination plan for our little bestie trip, but me, being (ehem) a good wife felt terrible about leaving my man that long, so instead, we made an impromptu change of plan and booked our tickets to a shorter length of trip and Bali is the chosen one.

MOJO Kitchen & Bar Senopati

"Eating is a part of life, you should get the best". I feel the quote written in MOJO's menu book is absolutely well said. I have been wanting to go to MOJO since they opened, but during their soft opening days, they only open starts 6pm and it went on for several months. For some reasons, it's harder for me to arrange a visit to a place at Senopati in that kind of time range. By the time they start the operational hours from afternoon, I have quite frankly forgotten them due to so many other new restaurants. 

Gan Bei Kitchen Bandung

Gan Bei probably the most interesting spot I went in Bandung so far. The design concept is almost flawless. I love love love how they make the place so Asian with mixture of Japanese influence. It's a huge house turned into a cozy dining. No signage in front which easily mislead you to pass by them.

The Momo Senopati

MOMO is the newest kid on the block of Senopati. New cafes in the area has been too frequent these couple months, but thankfully MOMO comes with kind of different cuisines on the table. Bringing Izakaya fusion, let me walk you through on what MOMO offers.

FJ On 7

I always love rooftop dining. Despite on whatever kind of weather at the moment, a clear view to the blue sky always bring a relax and soothing feeling. FJ on 7 definitely has one of the most enjoyable rooftop dining in town, with its outdoor rooftop patio and the colorful comfy couches with its pink cushions, clears out sophisticated and rules in casual chic vibe.

Locale Diner & Bar

Seeing so many cafe & restaurants at PIK nowadays, it got me to think... how does one stand out from the rest? Well, in the case of Locale, arguably has something to do with their 24 hours concept and out of the box design. It is almost impossible to find a 24 hours diner in Jakarta which are not a fast food chains. Hence, when I heard about a new local diner opening 24hours 7 days in a week at Pantai Indah Kapuk, my level of excitement and curiosity was highly raised. 

Todai, Marina Bay Sands Singapore

Calling themselves as an upscale "all you care to eat" International seafood and sushi buffet restaurant, Todai offers lots of choices of good quality food. If you wonder where in Spore you can eat fresh snow crabs as much as you want, as much as you like, Todai is the place.

Mamasan Bali

Last week, I went for a short trip to Bali with hubs. The purpose is mainly to attend one of hubby's customer's wedding, so the trip was really short and since the week before we have decided to make it a relax trip instead of a food trip as usual. ;) The reason of why we wanted it to be more of a relax trip was because lately hubs and I have had a super hectic days, so we mainly want to have our three days in Bali to be scheduled free.We mostly ate inside the hotel, hence no food review will be posted except this one.

E & O Jakarta

The diners under collaboration between Chef Will Meyrick of Sarong & Mama San Bali with groups behind Loewy & Union came as the newest addition in town. Lately, it has been too much new diners with the same type of cuisine. E&O, short for Eastern & Oriental brings a fresh atmosphere into Jakarta's F&B with an unique creation of Thai & Vietnamese cuisine. 

Ismaya Catering Cafe

Hello! Can you believe it's another new month already? I swear time wasn't flying this fast when I was a kid. Now, it's like a while ago we were waiting for New year, and bam... It's May already. Anyway, last week, I was meeting up one of my closest ex-colleague for a lunch date. We were supposed to have lunch at Salt Grill, but then the traffic and rain forced us to cancel the reservation, so we went to Ismaya Catering Cafe instead. A recent new diner by the great Ismaya. Have I mentioned that I love all Ismaya's diner? Well, except Mr. Curry (closed) and Sushi Groove, perhaps.

Luciole Bistro & Bar, Central Park

 

One of the so many essential things I must have in my life is my me time. My kind of me time is to spend a day with no one but me, either spending it at home by laying on the couch all day in front of  TV while doing the double B's, blogging and browsing, OR to spend a day out, go to the mall with hungry belly and no specific purpose. Being that addictive to myself (?), I was very much irritated with my occupied schedule these past few weeks. Though the reason of me being so occupied lately was not entirely work related, still I was in need for a perfect me time to complete my week. 

Blacklisted Coffee

About a month ago, Hubby and I went to Puri Mall. It is definitely a mall we barely go to, and the reason we chose to go that night was because they are one of the closest mall that still showing The Bourne Legacy after almost a month airing. Unfortunately for us, by the time we reached there it was left only 10 minutes before the show and we were starving, so we decided to skip the movie and go with Resident Evil instead as the show time was later, in that way we have some time to eat first.

Wandering the shopping mall, I noticed some things had been changed since the last time I went here, which was around 3 - 4 years ago maybe. There was a section of open air terrace restaurants lining in the front of the side lobby. Without knowing what to expect, we try our luck by entering the newly opened Blacklisted Coffee.
